Nike+ Running Updated With Google Fit Integration

nike runningA few months ago, Google announced Google Fit which is basically Google’s answer to Apple’s Health app. Well the good news for fitness enthusiasts is that it looks like Nike+ Running has finally been integrated into Google Fit with the latest update. Prior to this, competing apps such as Runtastic and RunKeeper have been updated with similar integration as well.

If you have yet to update the app, just head on over to the Google Play Store to get your hands on the latest version, launch it, and follow the instructions on the screen if you’d like to integrate the Nike+ Running app data with Google Fit. You can choose to enable or disable it via the app’s settings, so you can always go back and decide about integration later.

That being being said, the Nike+ Running app is pretty much similar in nature to most other running apps. It will utilize your phone’s GPS capabilities to help track your running routes, but one of its features not offered by some other apps, such as Runtastic, is that it can also track your indoor activities.

This is done using your phone’s accelerometer so for those of you who enjoy working out indoors and using the treadmill, then the Nike+ Running app could be worth taking a look at.
