portege-z20tToshiba does churn out solid mobile computing devices, what with their collection of smartphones in Japan, not to mention their venerable line of notebooks. Having said that, last year saw the release of a decent 2-in-1 Windows tablet that sports an 11.6” display, where it was accompanied by a detachable keyboard dock, being known as the Toshiba Portégé Z10t. Of course, the Toshiba Portégé Z10t did not come cheap at all, where it carried a sticker price tag of $1,499. Fast forward by more than a year, and it looks as though there is a sequel to the Portégé Z10t which might hit the market soon, especially after it has picked up FCC certification, being known as the Toshiba Portégé Z20t.

The Toshiba Portégé Z20t happens to carry a slightly larger display this time around at 12.5” in size, and while the FCC listing did not deliver a fair amount of juicy details for us to chew upon, we do know that it will sport dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. Oh yeah, one of its “signature” would be the presence of a keyboard dock that enables you to use this tablet in the same manner as that of a notebook.

Chances are it will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, being a premium Windows-powered tablet, so keep your fingers crossed that there will be a new Intel Core M Broadwell chip running underneath the hood.
