These days an Android 4.4 KitKat update isn’t going to excite most people, folks are looking towards Lollipop more now, but those who are on devices that have yet to receive this update will certainly take a gander. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom has finally received the KitKat update on AT&T. The carrier’s subscribers can get this update on their Galaxy S4 Zoom units starting today.

It goes without saying that this update has taken its sweet time to arrive. It has been over a year since both this smartphone and KitKat were launched.

AT&T is rolling out this update over-the-air, as software updates are in this day and age. Carrying version number C105A_KKUCUBNI1, this update will bump up Android version on the device to 4.4.2.

All of the important security and stability related fixes are included in this update, apart from minimal changes to TouchWIz user interface and the overall software. The highlight of this device is certainly is rear camera and users should expect to see improvements to the camera software following this update.

Once the update goes live in your region a notification should automatically pop up on the device telling you that an update is available. Alternatively you can try mashing the update button in the Settings menu to get your hands on KitKat.
