rca_g12[CES 2015] When it comes to smartphones, there are plenty of brands to choose from. You have your more mainstream brands like Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony, Motorola, and etc., but then again you have less famous brands which tend to offer up handsets at much more affordable prices.

If you’re shopping on a budget RCA might have a couple of new handsets for you. The company has recently announced two new handsets in the form of the RCA G1 and the RCA Q1. Both phones will be available in either 3G or 4G variants depending on your needs, but other than that, the 3G and 4G models will share the same hardware specs.

Starting with the RCA G1, this is a phone that will come with a 5.5-inch 1080×720 display. It will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor under its hood with 8GB of storage. This is expandable thanks to a microSD card slot. There will be an 8MP rear-facing camera with flash, a 2MP front-facing camera, and a 2,400mAh battery.

Next is the RCA Q1 which will share similar specs with the RCA G1, save for its screen size which is slightly smaller at 5-inches. It will also feature dual-SIM support, a feature which is not available in the G1. The RCA G1 will be priced at $160 while the Q1 will go for $140 and will be available via Amazon, Sears, and Rakuten.
