Slim smartphones – this seems to be the underlining theme when it comes to handset that hail from China, and the upcoming Gionee Elife S7 looks set to be another flagship smartphone down the road that will arrive in a svelte body, although we are not quite sure whether it is going to break any world records or not. Gionee is no stranger to slim smartphones, having released the Elife S5.1 in the past that measured all of just 5.15mm, and it seems that they are not too happy with other manufacturers like Oppo and Vivo rolling out handsets that measures 4.85mm or less. Word has it that the Gionee Elife S7 is all set to enter the slim smartphone race.
There has been several leaked images of the alleged Gionee Elife S7 – hailing from where else, but China, where it is reportedly very thin. You don’t say! In fact, initial reports point to a thickness level of just 4.6mm, now how about that? This would be a rather odd move from the existing modus operandi of the company, which would name their handset after the thickness, so the Gionee Elife S7 might actually cause people to think that it is 7mm thin in the first place – which might not be the case at all.
