chromecastThe Google Chromecast is an awesome little HDMI dongle that lets you stream content from mobile devices onto your TV, making it great if you have bought some movies or are streaming videos that you’d rather watch on a larger display. Now it seems that Google wants you to enjoy the Chromecast even more by giving you money for it.

According to a report from Android Authority, it seems that Google has started giving its Chromecast customers $6 in Play Store credit, which presumably will be used to buy movies/music that would allow them to take advantage of the Chromecast. This is part of Google’s Valentine’s Day celebration.

Unfortunately it seems that the offer is only limited to customers living in the US so if you’re living overseas and have a Chromecast, it seems that you won’t be able to cash in on this offer. To redeem it is pretty straightforward – head to the Chromecast link, connect to the same network as your Chromecast device, verify it, and click the Redeem button and you should be good to go!

Like we said since this is a Valentine’s Day offer, maybe that $6 could be put towards a romantic movie for you and your date, or if you’re celebrating the day alone, we suppose you could pretty much do whatever you want with the credit.
