LG_G3_Stylus_500One of the unique features of the Samsung Galaxy Note series is that it comes with the S Pen and has its software optimized and designed around the stylus, giving the stylus more capabilities than just a pointing and writing tool. Back in 2014 we saw LG attempt something similar with a device called the LG G3 Stylus.

The handset wasn’t particularly impressive in terms of hardware and we supposed to a certain extent it was like a low-mid range version of the LG G3. Now according to recent trademark applications, it seems that LG might have something similar planned for their upcoming LG G4 in the form of the LG G4 Stylus.

The trademark application points to a device actually called the G4 Stylus. The filing also mentions that the handset would come with a stylus, much like how Samsung has included the S Pen in their Note series, but apart from that not much else is known about the handset for now, although given that the LG G3 Stylus wasn’t the most impressive device, we doubt its successor would be any different.

An earlier leaked document makes reference to a LG-H631 handset with a 720p HD resolution. MyLGPhones has speculated that this could be the code for the LG G4 Stylus, and given that the LG G3 Stylus has a 960×540 display, a 720p HD display for the G4 Stylus would indeed be an upgrade.
