I know, I know, we saw Nokia’s HERE maps updated on both the Android and Windows Phone platforms just yesterday – and it looks as though the folks over at Nokia have been hard at work on another refresh. After all, the Android version of Nokia HERE Maps has been updated – and what makes this refresh all the more unique is the fact that this latest version would have ditched the ‘beta’ tag, and along the way, just like any other self-respecting update would do, come with its fair share of improvements that you can check out in further detail in the video above.

For starters, one is now able to check out 3D venue maps for various locations such as shopping malls and airports in the app itself, and you can also choose to rotate them in order to match with the direction from where you came in, while making the switch between floors, now how about that for innovation?

In addition, improved routing is also a boon in the updated app. The beta version would provide you with a trio of options for car travel when you asked for a route, where you then had to make the switch to locate them for walking or public transport. Right now, you can enjoy the fastest routes for all three modes of travel – where a simple swipe would let you check out alternative routes. iOS users, fret not – the new version of HERE for iOS are set to be on the ball soon according to the developers.
