HTC-One-32As much as HTC tried to release Android 5.0 Lollipop to the masses within their promised 90-day window, it seems that they were unable to, at least as far as the carrier variants were concerned. Now the good news is that it looks like HTC owners didn’t have to wait much longer because according to a tweet from HTC’s Mo Versi, Sprint’s update should be arriving tomorrow.

Unfortunately according to Versi, the update will only be for Sprint’s HTC One M7 which means that if you are the proud owner of the HTC One M8 on Sprint (or any other major US carrier for that matter), it seems that you will have to remain patient and play the waiting the game for a little bit longer.

However considering that it didn’t take HTC too long from their previous announcement to get carriers to start pushing out the OTA update for the HTC One M7 on Sprint, hopefully it is a sign that the update for the rest of the carriers and the HTC One M8 should be released in the near future as well. Interesting though that the update made its way to the older model before the newer one.

In any case we will be keeping our eyes peeled for more information regarding the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the rest of HTC’s devices on other carriers, so do check back with us at a later date for the details!
