T-Mobile tries different ways to bring new subscribers on board and they have mostly been working, the carrier has seen an increase in its numbers, and it continues with these strategies to grow even further. The latest promotion that Magenta is running to entice potential customers is one in which it offers a free 7-inch tablet to anyone who signs up for a qualified data plan from February 12th to February 16th. This promotion has been timed with Valentine’s Day in mind.

Customers who take advantage of this promotion will receive the Alcatel OneTouch Pop 7 tablet for free, the carrier says this is its “most popular” 7-inch Android tablet.

Usually this tablet costs $168 on T-Mobile without a contract, or $7 per month. Those who purchase it under this offer will see that $7 per month credited to their bill.

Customers will have to pay the sales tax on the free tablet, it will range from $5 to $15, depending on local tax rates.

1GB data plan, which costs $20 per month, is good enough to qualify for a free tablet, customers can choose higher data plans as well, that offer more data for more money.

In case you’re wondering the Alcatel OneTouch Pop 7 tablet has a 1,024×600 pixel resolution display, a 1.3GHz dualcore processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB onboard storage, 2 megapixel rear camera and it is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

T-Mobile is offering this promotion starting Thursday, February 12th until Monday, February 16th, 2015.
