Fans of Namco Bandai’s Tekken series are probably excited for the company’s upcoming Tekken 7. After all the last Tekken title Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was released in 2011, and prior to that Tekken 6 was released in 2007, so safe to say that Tekken 7 is a long time coming. The good news is that Namco Bandai has since released the game’s opening cinematic which should hopefully sate gamers’ appetites until its official release.

The game has been pegged for a release on the 18th of February, but unfortunately it seems that the game will only see an arcade release in Japan first. It is unclear if Namco Bandai will be releasing the game stateside or to other markets, or if it will be released on console (or maybe even the PC), so that remains to be seen for now.

However given that Tekken’s previous releases have made their way onto platforms like the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the Nintendo Wii U, there is probably a good chance that Tekken 7 will eventually go that route as well and that it is just a matter of when that will happen. In any case if you have a few minutes to spare, be sure to check out the opening cinematic in the video above. In the meantime who else is excited to get their hands on the game?
