Apple Store Staff Could Soon Offer Customers Fashion Advice

apple watchThe Apple Watch isn’t really marketed as a smartwatch but rather a fashion accessory. Unlike other smartwatches, the Apple Watch has managed to grace the covers of several lifestyle magazines so it is clear where Apple is headed with the direction of the device. That being said, a report from 9to5Mac has revealed that Apple could soon have store employees offer fashion advice to customers who are looking to purchase an Apple Watch.

It does sound a little odd since walking into an Apple retail store is about purchasing technology, not fashion, but it seems that Apple is looking to merge the two together. Some training documents that were leaked shows Apple training their employees on how to identify a customer’s style and how to best choose an Apple Watch design that might suit him/her.

Apple store employees are also encouraged to talk to customers and learn more about them, their lifestyle, the kind of look they’re trying to go for in order to better understand them and how to offer an Apple Watch design that would fulfil their criterias. There are also key phrases that Apple employees can expect to hear from customers regarding their choices, such as, ”I love how it will coordinate with many of my outfits,” or ”That’s so easy,” or ”I love that I just have to raise my wrist to have the display turn on,” just to name a few.

We’re sure it will be a bit disconcerting to have Apple employees start offering fashion tips, but it looks like that’s the way Apple will be headed.
