htc-one-m9-plus-leaked-1

It hasn’t even been a month since HTC unveiled the One M9 at MWC 2015 in Barcelona. Already there are rumors that the company is soon going to announce another variant of its flagship smartphone. It’s going to be a phablet that will compete against the iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy Note 5 later this year. We get to see a leaked image of this purported device today. Its specifications have also been rumored.

The HTC One M9 Plus is rumored to come with a 5.2-inch 1440p LCD display, a MediaTek MT6795T processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Apparently it’s going to have the same 20 megapixel camera from the HTC One M9. HTC One M9 Plus will probably be powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop.

As far as the design is concerned the device really just looks like an enlarged HTC One M9. There appears to be a fingerprint sensor in the bottom bezel that splits the BoomSound speaker grille. Doesn’t look too classy in my opinion.

HTC added more fuel to the fire today when it sent out invites to an event in China on April 8th. Given what it has hinted on the invite, the event is likely going to be where HTC unveils the One M9 Plus.
