After much speculation and waiting, it seems that all of your patience will finally pay off, as HTC’s Uh-Oh protection program for the spanking new HTC One M9 has become official. This new protection program is touted to offer a free replacement unit should your brand new HTC One M9 undergo a rather traumatizing experience that will lead to its demise. This particular initiative is cleverly named, no doubt about it, where it intends to cover up the risks of a cracked screen or even water damage – as long as the calamity falls within the first year of your ownership.
Should you be more of a Careful Clarice person, and your HTC One M9 survives the first year without any kind of damage to it, you will then be eligible for $100 credit towards the purchase of another HTC handset. This should be a strong enough deterrent in order to stop folks from taking advantage of this situation and we start hearing of a spike of sudden mishaps to the general HTC One M9 “population” when April 2016 rolls about.
The HTC Uh-Oh program does seem to sound like a decent idea, especially since it is an area where after-sale support could experience an improvement.
