LG Watch Urbane’s Price Revealed, Will Not Come Cheap

LG-Watch-Urbane-LTE-01Apple has gotten a lot of flak over the price of their Apple Watch which costs $350 at its cheapest and $17,000 (yes, you read that right) at its most expensive. However it seems that if you wanted to get yourself a nice looking smartwatch, you should be prepared to pay. The pricing of the LG Watch Urbane was recently revealed in South Korea where it is priced at 650,000 Korean Won.

This translates to roughly $588 making almost twice as expensive as the Apple Watch, although some might argue that it does look better and more luxurious since the $350 Apple Watch will incorporate the use of a rubber band rather than leather/stainless steel band. That being said we should note that this is a direct conversion from the price in South Korea, so its price in the US might be a little different, but you should get the general idea of how much it will cost.

The LG Watch Urbane was announced last month ahead of MWC. The watch is basically the LG G Watch R and will share identical specs, such as the use of a Plastic OLED display with a 320×320 resolution, a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, and a 410mAh battery. The main difference would be its looks where the LG Watch Urbane has been designed to look more formal while the G Watch R has been designed to be more casual/sporty.
