Microsoft-Lumia-640-XL-01During MWC 2015, Microsoft unveiled two new handsets in the form of the Lumia 640 and the Lumia 640 XL. As per our previous report, the Lumia 640 XL will be headed for AT&T, but what about the Lumia 640? The handset has been pegged for a release next month and according to T-Mobile at that time, the carrier confirmed they would be releasing it.

The carrier did not provide us with an exact release date, although Microsoft did state it should arrive in April and it looks like the carrier is gearing up for its release. The Lumia 640 has been recently spotted on T-Mobile’s website where the carrier has listed it as “coming soon”, but like we said there has not been any specific date attached to the handset’s release just yet.

Pricing of the device was not mentioned either, but hopefully we will have the official details soon. Now just in case you might have missed our coverage at MWC 2015, here’s a quick recap of the Lumia 640. The phone will come with a 5-inch HD display and will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset under its hood clocked at 1.2GHz.

It will also come with 1GB of RAM, a 2,500mAh battery, and an 8MP rear-facing camera. It will support LTE connectivity and will also have dual SIM capabilities for those of you with more than one line.
