Thinking about getting the Apple Watch but not sure if it might suit you? While the wearable will be going up for pre-order on the 10th of April and go on sale on the 24th, there is a way for you to try out the device, at least virtually. This is thanks to a piece of paper and an accompanying app that basically lets you simulate wearing the watch on your wrist.

In order to access the virtual Apple Watch, you will need to print out this PDF, cut out the watch design, and use a QR code scanner app to scan the QR code on the piece of paper. From there it will ask you to download a viewfinder app called ARWatch that helps simulate the augmented reality watch. While we have yet to try this out for ourselves, the folks at Cult of Mac have and have assured users that it is safe to use, although do proceed at your own caution.

To use the virtual Apple Watch, all you’ll need to do is hold up your phone and point the camera towards the watch cutout on your wrist. From there the display will show you the Apple Watch on your hand and will also allow users to change out the bands simply by tapping the display. It’s a pretty novel idea and a tad silly, but hey if you want to take it for a spin, why not?
