htc inkYesterday we reported that HTC had teased an upcoming collaboration with British model Jourdan Dunn. It was expected that they would be working together to create a limited edition HTC One M9 handset although at that time, we were wondering what it might look like. For collectors out there, turns out this collaboration is part of HTC’s INK campaign.

Basically this will see HTC collaborate with more celebrities besides Jourdan Dunn and work towards creating limited edition devices featuring artwork inspired by tattoos, or otherwise known as ink. The first design is the one that you can see in the image above which was created with tattoo artist Cally Jo Pothecary, who has tattooed celebrities such as Rihanna.

According to the description of the design chosen by Dunn, “As she takes on more creative projects that express her individual style and personality, the hand and eye symbolise the need for protection and strength, combined with positive energy. The natural leaf-elements and patterns around the outside of each visual reflect her creative growth, whilst the sun and moon together indicate balance and harmony in her character.”

The release date and exactly how many models will be made remains unknown at this point in time, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for additional details and designs in the future. In the meantime any tattoo fans out there excited by this collaboration?
