There has been no shortage of rumors about the HTC One M9. For the last couple of months it has been consistently rumored that HTC is going to unveil this phablet in order to take on the Galaxy Note 5 later this year, as well as the iPhone 6 Plus that’s already available in the market. The device will follow HTC’s latest flagship smartphone, HTC One M9, which is more of an evolutionary update. New renders of the HTC One M9 Plus have appeared online today, the device is expected to be formally announced tomorrow.

HTC is going to conduct an event in China tomorrow where it’s likely to announce the new phablet. No word as yet on when this device will make it to markets like North America and Europe.

Rumor has it that the HTC One M9 Plus touts a 5.2-inch Quad HD resolution display with a 640bit octacore MediaTek MT6795 processor underneath that’s hooked up with 3GB of RAM.

The phablet is expected to have 32GB of onboard storage, 20-megapixel rear and 13 megapixel front camera as well as Sense 7.0 UI that is slapped on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop.

There has been chatter that HTC might release the device only in Asia but we’ll know that for sure after it’s formally announced. Details about pricing will also be revealed at the event.
