The HTC One M9 was one of the few flagships released earlier this year that came with Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out of the box. Even though the new software came pre-installed some Lollipop features were not included initially by the OEM, Samsung did the same thing with factory reset protection. Word on the street is that the next major software update for the HTC One M9 is going to bring the Guest Mode feature for this handset.

Word comes from LlabTooFer, who has been right on many occasions in the past particularly when it comes to HTC software updates, that the HTC One M9 is going to receive the Guest Mode feature in the “next major update.”

The update is also said to allow users control over the HTC One M9’s screen color temperature. This particular feature is already available for the device but through third party applications, users will certainly appreciate if HTC brings it under the official umbrella.

LlabTooFer hasn’t revealed when this next major update for the HTC One M9 is going to be released so it can’t be said for sure right now when users will finally get their hands on these features. HTC hasn’t said anything about this update as of now.
