Motorola-LogoEarlier in the day, we did hear on how the Motorola DROID Turbo is set to be upgraded right away to Android 5.1 Lollipop. Well, here are more whispers that will concern an upcoming high end smartphone from Motorola – it seems that word is going around that this upcoming handset (and potentially, others to follow as well) will feature support for microSD memory cards in addition to front-facing LED flashes. The former is a whole lot more useful than the latter, although selfie kings and queens might beg to differ and say that both of these are equally important.

Jose Arturo, a Verizon device test engineer who has been testing out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for Motorola’s DROID Turbo, claims that later this summer, Motorola will deliver “front facing flash for selfies” and microSD card support to a bunch of its yet unreleased smartphones. Taking into consideration that the Moto G and Moto E do come with microSD memory card slots, one can only make the assumption that Arturo happens to be referencing at least one of the high end handsets from Motorola down the road, perhaps the latest Moto X model that is in the pipeline? After all, high end Motorola handsets tend not to come with an expandable memory slot.

Only time will tell, so stay tuned!
