Two new Microsoft handsets are expected to be launched by AT&T in the near future, the handsets were unveiled a few months back and have been in a state of limited availability in the United States for quite a while. With AT&T expected to launch the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL within this month it goes without saying that the carrier will truly take these handsets national when the time comes.
Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL are part of the long line of mid-range devices that Microsoft has released in the recent past. True high-end flagships have been missing in action but the company is expected to remedy that later this year.
There’s a product page up on AT&T’s website which states that the product is coming soon and it’s expected that the carrier is going to launch these handsets later this month.
Pricing and availability details will obviously be confirmed when the official announcement is made, these handsets were first released on the Cricket network in the United States.
Getting up on AT&T will be a huge step forward and it will certainly bring in many people who are going to purchase the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL.
So far Microsoft and AT&T have not officially commented about the release date, though expect to hear from them in the near future.
