There’s bad news for those who pre-ordered the Batman: Arkham Knight game, no the title has not been delayed once again, this bad news is limited to people who actually pre-ordered the Batmobile Edition of the title. It has been confirmed that Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition has been cancelled merely days before the title is due to be released for multiple platforms. This is certainly not going to sit well with fans who have been waiting for this particular bundle to arrive.

Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition was put up for sale in September 2014 and it ended up being sold out shortly so you can imagine the kind of demand that it created, and the number of people who are waiting for it to be released.

Rumors about the cancellation first appeared on NeoGAF through someone who claimed to be friends of a GameStop employee, but later when the confirmation came in from Warner Bros., it became all too clear.

Warner Bros. says that it’s not able to release the Batmobile Edition of Batman: Arkham Knight “due to unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of this extremely limited run of product.”

While deeply apologizing for this outcome, WB recommends customers go to the retail location where they pre-ordered it from and get a full refund of their deposit. Customers can also get the deposit rolled over to another Batman: Arkham Knight edition or a completely different product.

Batman: Arkham Knight arrives June 23rd.
