Microsoft today announced a trio of affordable and portable Dual Chargers that are available in different capacities, these products provide much needed backup power for mobile devices so that users can easily charge their devices without having to locate a power outlet. The new chargers from Microsoft are available in 5,200mAh, 9,000mAh and 12,000mAh capacities.
The company calls the 5,200mAh charger “the most portable of all.” It has a pocketable shape and a slender design which makes for an easy fit inside the pocket or a bag, it’s very easy to carry no matter where you might be going.
Those who require more power or would like to charge multiple devices, there’s the 9,000mAh and 12,000mAh chargers, which Microsoft positions towards such users.
Given that they have bigger capacity they are also bigger in size, nevertheless they’re still portable and while you can’t carry them in your pocket, it wouldn’t be too hard to throw them in a bag for a time when you might need that extra juice.
All three portable chargers have two USB ports which means you can charge more than one device at the same time. Microsoft says that the portable Dual Chargers can hold their charge for months, retaining up to 80 percent capacity even after several months.
Over the next few weeks the 5,200mAh, 9,000mAh and 12,000mAh portable chargers from Microsoft will become available in select markets across the globe for an estimated retail price of $35, $45 and $55 respectively.
