It’s a big day for Microsoft today as it has finally started rolling out the Windows 10 update over-the-air in 190 countries across the globe. OEM partners have also started selling computers that come with the new software installed right out of the box. Twitter has found a way to get into the news cycle as well, the micro-blogging service has just launched a native Twitter for Windows 10 application which provides users with instant access to top tweets, photos and videos without requiring them to sign in.

The app is also going to display tweets right out of the box in live tiles from the Start menu, all of these features don’t require the user to sign in.

When the user does sign in they get an experience similar to what they would expect from an official Twitter app. It features support for multiple photo tweets, animated GIFs, Vine playback and the ability to share photos in Direct Messages. The app is going to show a preview in users’ home timeline for tweets that contain photos, Vine videos and other select content.

The new Twitter for Windows is available globally today for Windows 10 users, continued improvements for the app are promised in the days and months to come.
