ios 9

If you have been running iOS 9 beta versions on your iPhone or iPad then you should keep your eyes peeled for an update notification because Apple has released the fifth beta of iOS 9 today, the beta firmware comes with the second beta of watchOS, the iteration of Apple’s mobile platform for the Apple Watch. The new software was formally unveiled back in June and it’s going to arrive for all supported devices by next month.

It has only been a couple of weeks since the previous iOS 9 beta was released, each new beta build features some tweaks and improvements that Apple makes following feedback from beta testers about bugs or issues that they might have encountered.

The beta stage is absolutely crucial to ensure when the software is released to the public it’s as bug-free as it possibly can be, Apple has a tradition of putting new software through a lengthy beta period prior to releasing it to the public.

Also accompanying the fifth beta of iOS 9 is watchOS 2 beta for the Apple Watch, it also features more or less the same incremental improvements as the latest iOS beta build.

Apple is going to launch new iPhones next month and at the event it’s expected to unveil the public release date for iOS 9 which may be towards the end of September.
