Last month it was revealed that one of the cool new features of the upcoming Rock Band 4 is the ability for players to improvise guitar solos. This means that if you think you can do a better job at creating a guitar solo for a particular song, you’re more than welcome to go ahead and do just that.

Now previously there was a brief demo on the solo feature, but in case you wanted a better demonstration of the freestyle solo action, a new video has been released (see above) where you get to see what the “Freestyle” mode in the upcoming game looks like, and we have to admit that it has a lot of potential, especially if you’re musically inclined.

The feature was actually inspired by Rock Band’s previous games where drummers were given free reign to perform drum fills during certain sections of the song as they liked, instead of having to just keep hammering out the notes on the screen. This will no doubt introduce a new dynamics to the game, although we can imagine that this will lead to more fighting amongst players for who gets to be on the guitar next.

In the meantime Rock Band 4 has been pegged for a release on the 6th of October where it will be available on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. So, who’s looking forward to shredding out some insane solos on the game?
