galaxy-e7The Samsung Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7, a pair of handsets that once had their hardware specifications bandied about as rumors, were said to have been promised the Android Lollipop upgrades in due time – preferably some time later this year, of course. These updates have been tipped for a release in the third quarter of this year in fact, and since we are well into the third quarter of the year already, questions concerning the non-appearing update have started to arise. Unfortunately, based on Samsung UK’s answer via their official Twitter account, it look like the Samsung Galaxy E7 will no longer be the recipient of an Android Lollipop update.

No reason was given for dropping the development of this update for the Samsung Galaxy E7, never mind the fact that the slightly lesser Samsung Galaxy E5 has been already been graced with the presence of Android Lollipop. After all, the Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 are practically twins in terms of hardware, with the latter even sporting more RAM than usual, so it is a wonder as to why there is no Lollipop train heading in that direction.

Looks like the throw of the dice is not all that favorable this time around, right?
