mgsv phoeIf you’re a fan of the Metal Gear Solid franchise and you’re looking forward to playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, then you might be interested to learn that over in Japan, Sony has announced the Sony Xperia J1, The Phantom Pain edition, which as you can see in the image above will no doubt appeal to Metal Gear Solid fans.

So what so special about this device? For starters it will feature an Outer Heaven graphic on the rear of the phone. There will also be custom ringtones and wallpapers based on the game, along with a limited edition artbook that comes preinstalled on the phone which you can access via the File Commander app.

There will also be a voucher worth 1,000 yen that can be used towards buying Metal Gear Solid comics, and there will be two game soundtracks as well. Other than that, the phone itself will remain identical in terms of hardware as the normal Xperia J1, which for those unfamiliar includes a 4.3-inch 720p HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage.

There will also be a 2,300mAh battery, a 20.7MP rear-facing camera, a 2.2MP front-facing camera, with Android calling the shots. It will be priced at 59,800 yen and chances are this will be limited to Japan.
