It has been rumored for a very long time that Apple is working on a larger iPad and the company formally unveiled it today, as expected it’s called iPad Pro and according to Apple it’s the most capable and powerful iPad that it has ever built.Apple started with one simple question: How it can take the iPad even further and what it ended up creating is a tablet that features the biggest screen ever on an iOS device and also happens to be the most powerful tablet it has ever created.

iPad Pro’s display measures 12.9 inches diagonally with 2,732×2,048 pixel resolution, this comes out to an incredible 5.6 million pixels. Under the hood the iPad Pro has an A9x 64-bit processor with 2x memory bandwidth, the processor itself is 1.8x faster than the A8X on the previous iPad. It also touts 2x graphics performance against the iPad Air 2.

Apple says that this tablet is 80 percent faster with 90 percent better graphics performance than all portable PCs shipped in the last 12 months. The new tablet holds on to the iPad’s traditional ten hour battery life.

This is also the first time that an iPad has a four speaker sound system which automatically balances audio based on how you’re holding the tablet, it provides 3x audio volume as compared to the last iPad.

The tablet also features an 8 megapixel iSight rear camera, 802.11ac Wi-Fi with MIMO, up to 150Mbps LTE and the Touch ID fingerprint sensor. All of this is packed in the distinguishable iPad design which measures 6.9mm thin and weighs 1.57lb.

Apple iPad Pro will be available in Silver, Gold and Space Gray finishes, the tablet ships this November in 32GB, 128GB and 128GB with cellular variants for $799, $949 and $1079 respectively.
