While there is a flurry of activity from Google today concerning their brand new handsets, this does not mean that the other smartphone manufacturers that are in the market will just sit back and fold their arms, not doing anything on their part to ensure that they too, will have something decent for the masses in due time. We do know that HTC has a 20th of October event that should see the launch of the new HTC One, but in the mean time, we will have to make do with the HTC One A9 – a smartphone which was supposed to be unveiled today, although it seems that nothing has been revealed just yet, other than additional leaked photos of the handset.
A few hands-on photos have popped up in which you can check it out in the photo gallery above, and one cannot help but wonder of the relatively close resemblance of the device to that of an iPhone 6 in terms of its design and form factor. Other than that, the new bunch of leaked photos do not reveal anything else other than a quick peek at the user interface which no doubt will be based on HTC’s very own Sense UI.
