track_and_treatMany years ago an app called Glympse was launched. For those unfamiliar, Glympse basically lets you share your location with your friends, family members, and co-workers. This isn’t a static location sharing feature. Instead Glympse can actually provide real-time tracking meaning that you can actually see on a map where the person is going to.

Now we know that next week Halloween will be upon us, and if you are letting your kids go out trick and treating by themselves, perhaps you might be interested in a new app by Glympse called Track & Treat. Basically the app functions like regular Glympse, except that it is dedicated for the night of Halloween.

According to the app’s description, “Keep track of your young goblins and ghosts as they trick-or-treat this Halloween. Let friends, family and neighbors know they are heading over or ready to meet up for Halloween fun. Or be ready for when your trick-or-treater is heading home so you can raid their candy!”

Monica Depiesse, creative director, Glympse says, “By applying our industry leading technology to this fun, user-friendly app, we’re providing parents the peace of mind to enjoy the holiday, while allowing them the opportunity to give their kids a sense of independence.” The app is a free download and is available via the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
