cyanogenWe know that there might be some confusion between the different versions of Cyanogen. We have Cyanogen OS and we have Cyanogenmod. For those who are confused, the former is basically the commercial version that is shipped out users and comes preinstalled on handsets, like it was with the OnePlus One.

Cyanogenmod on the other hand is the version that is made available to everyone else who is looking for a custom ROM for their phone. That being said if you were a little envious of some of the apps that were packaged with Cyanogen OS that did not come with Cyanogenmod, be envious no more!

According to a blog on the Cyanogenmod website, it has been announced that the apps bundled with Cyanogen OS will be made available to those with Cyanogenmod. “C-Apps is being offered as an optional download and will not be preinstalled on CyanogenMod releases. This package will allow you to take your existing devices running CM 12.1, and make them more like the Cyanogen OS experience.”

The bundled apps includes a Theme Chooser with per-app theming, a Theme Store, AudioFX, Cyanogen Accounts, Gallery, Dialer with TrueCaller Integration, and Email powered by Boxer. If you’d like to get your hands on it, head on over to Cyanogen’s website for the details.
