galaxy golden 3In today’s day and age, most of us have come to associate smartphones as being devices that are rectangular in shape with a full touchscreen display. The only buttons we might expect would be a home button, volume rockers, a power button, and maybe even a mute switch, but it seems that in today’s day and age, apparently some users still prefer rocking flip phones.

After all that must be true, right? If not why would Samsung go through the effort of producing them? It has recently been spotted at TENAA (China’s version of the FCC) a certain Samsung Galaxy Golden 3. If you’re wondering why this sounds familiar, it is because this isn’t the first Galaxy Golden device Samsung has released in the past.

So what kind of specs might we expect from such a device? According to the listing on TENAA, the phone will feature dual 3.9-inch displays with a resolution of 1280×768 each. It will feature a physical numeric keypad like the good old days, an 8/16MP rear-facing camera on the back, and a 5MP front-facing camera.

There is also an octa-core CPU under the hood clocked at 2.1GHz with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. So apart from its small display and old-fashioned design, this phone is actually quite the powerhouse. Unfortunately so far Samsung’s Galaxy Golden series has typically be limited to the Chinese market so don’t expect to see it make its way stateside anytime soon.
