Rumors are floating these days that HTC has yet another “One” smartphone up its sleeve, at first it was believed that the HTC One X9 is going to be yet another high-end smartphones from the company, but if a latest rumor is to be believed then the One X9 is actually a mid-range smartphone that’s due in the first quarter of next year.
The rumor originated as a tweet from @LlabTooFeR, who has been right on multiple accounts on the past as far as unreleased HTC products go, and says that most of the rumors that have come up regarding the One X9 are actually false.
Instead the handset is said to be a mid-range smartphone which will be positioned lower than the HTC One A9, the company’s current Android flagship, and is expected to be released at some point in Q1 2016. It’s also said that the HTC One X9 will be released up to three months before the company is due to launch its HTC One M10 flagship.
There’s obviously no confirmation from HTC on any of this and we can’t expect it to reveal anything ahead of time. If this device really is in the pipeline we might hear more about in the coming weeks before the company decides to formally announce it in Q1 next year.
