honorplay5x-fccWhenever a particular device drops by the FCC, you more or less know that it is being prepped up for a release in due time, and more often than not, it would be sooner rather than later. The Huawei Honor Play 5X has been spotted over at the FCC, which means that the world’s third largest smartphone vendor is about to roll out this device in the US. Well, let us check out the hardware specifications of the Huawei Honor Play 5X right after the jump.

For starters, the Honor Play 5X will arrive with a 5.5” display that carries a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Underneath the hood lies a Snapdragon 615 SoC that will feature an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU and an Adreno 405 GPU. Accompanying that would be a 13MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture at the back, whereas selfie lovers will be treated to a 5MP camera. Not only that, to keep up with the times, there will also be a fingerprint sensor located under the camera.

One variant of the device will feature 2GB of RAM, whereas another variant will carry 3GB of RAM. With 16GB of internal memory within, it can be further expanded via a microSD memory card slot. There will be a 3000mAh battery to keep it chugging along, and it comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop right out of the box.
