Earlier this year Square Enix made a surprise announcement in which they revealed that they were working on a Final Fantasy VII remake. Final Fantasy VII is probably one of the most iconic Final Fantasy games around which is why many gamers were pleasantly surprised to learn about the remake.
Now previously we were treated to some screenshots but it looks like we have a gameplay trailer to check out. This was released during Sony’s PlayStation Experience 2015 and boy, we have to say that it looks pretty damn good! Like Square Enix had stated previously, the remake won’t just see the addition of new graphics which is pretty much what many gamers have come to expect these days.
From what we can tell it looks like the turn-based combat system we’ve come to expect is gone. This is something that Square Enix had previously stated in which they claimed to be exploring a new combat system. We’re not sure how this will turn out compared to the previous system but based on what we can tell, it seems alright.
In terms of a release, there is no solid release date yet so we guess until then, gamers will just have to watch the gameplay trailer above to whet their appetites.
