mkxNot everyone owns a console, which is why we’re sure many gamers were thrilled back then that Mortal Kombat X would be making its way onto the PC. However, it seems that recent speculation has suggested that maybe support for the PC version of the game could be coming to an end soon.

For starters, it was announced that the Kombat Pack 2 DLC would only be available on consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One. Based on this, we can only assume that future content will be treated the same way as well. Then there is also the announcement of Mortal Kombat XL which was also announced for consoles, and not the PC.

Let’s not forget that earlier this week, Mortal Kombat X’s Enhanced Online Beta was similarly announced for the console, with no mention of the PC. Based on all of this, it would seem that the folks at NetherRealms and Warner Bros. might have given up entirely on the PC version of the game.

Many PC gamers have claimed that the PC version of the game has very buggy online play, with many claiming that it is essentially unplayable. To date, there does not seem to be any kind of fix to address those complaints. Note that this is just speculation for now since neither NetherRealm nor Warner Bros. has commented about it, but either way, the future of the PC version of Mortal Kombat X is looking very bleak indeed.
