gizcam-redfoxWhen it comes to snapping photos, many of us rely on our smartphones these days, and it is not too often you see someone bring a digital camera with him or her just about everywhere he/she goes. Having said that, this is because the camera sensors on our smartphones have improved by leaps and bounds, and hence, even videos recorded using smartphones are pretty decent. However, not everyone has steady hands, and this is where the Gizcam Redfox comes in.

The Gizcam Redfox is a handheld stabilizer which will be able to help prevent the user from capturing shaky images and videos, and the company behind it claims that it will be as though you were standing still there and then. The smartphone accessory tips the scales at 430 grams (there is an action cam version that will be lighter at 338 grams for obvious reasons), which is perfect if you are going to use it all day long.

A 3,000mAh battery will keep the Gizcam Redfox going for 10 hours, and it also doubles up as a power bank in case of emergencies. It looks more like a selfie stick than anything else, and has the following three modes: Locking mode, Heading follow mode, and Pitching mode.

Bluetooth connectivity is also supported, with one model supporting smartphones while the other supports action cams. The Gizcam Redfox will be compatible with the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, while the action cam model will support the GoPro Hero 4, GoPro Hero 3+, and GoPro Hero 3, Xiaomi Yi action camera and just about other action camera models that have similar dimensions to the ones mentioned, retailing for $299.99 and $259.99, respectively. I suppose if you are going to snap your fair share of selfies with this bad boy, you might want to be more careful so that it does not end up in an accidental death. Best to refer to what the Russian police have to say about the matter.
