It’s already possible to access email from the likes of Yahoo and Outlook right in the Gmail app. The company has been getting lots of feedback from users who want more of Gmail’s features but don’t want to change their email address, meaning they don’t want to move to a @gmail address. To provide these features Google today launched a new feature called Gmailify which basically lets users Gmailify their Yahoo or Outlook account in Gmail.

Gmailify links existing accounts to Gmail so users get all of the features of Google’s email service like inbox organization, spam protection, and even Google Now card, without having to change to a @gmail address.

Users simply need to open the Gmail app and sign into their account and then enable Gmailify. It’s possible to unlink accounts from Gmailify at any time and continue to use them through the Gmail app without using this feature.

The company says that it’s really excited to “bring the best of Gmail to more people,” and it says that plans are underway to add more email providers to Gmailify in the near future.

The feature is available to all Gmail users now who use accounts from other providers via the Gmail for Android app. It’s hard to miss that app since it’s pre-installed on every Android smartphone out there.
