If you’d like to have your groceries delivered to your doorstep there are multiple services that you can use to get fresh produce without even having to leave the house. There are startups and major companies like Amazon competing in the grocery delivery space, and now another major company is jumping in. Google is getting in on the grocery delivery game.

Google is expanding its Google Express service to deliver groceries as well. The company’s speedy delivery service has been around for a while now and it makes sense to provide customers the ability to get perishable items like fruits and vegetables via Google Express.

Grocery deliveries start at $2.99 on Google Express, this price is for the people who pay $10 per month as membership fee to use Google Express. Non-members can use the service as well but they have to pay $4.99 instead.

Customers can choose when they want their groceries to be delivered within a two-hour delivery window on the same day provided that they don’t place the order too late. Ordering groceries at 1 am in the night most likely won’t get them delivered within two hours.

Google Express grocery delivery is only available in parts of Los Angeles and San Francisco currently. If the company sees the service taking off it may very well offer it in other markets to better compete against the likes of AmazonFresh and Instacart.
