reddit_3016Reddit is a fun way to spend your time online. The various subreddits and the fact that it has topics for just about everything and anything means that you will be able to find something that appeals to you. However in a 1,000 years, could you imagine what Reddit might look like, or the kind of topics we might talk about?

Blair Erickson has thought about it, and has single-handedly spent the past 4 years creating and updating his project called Reddit 3016. As the name suggests, this is Erickson’s imaging of Reddit in the future. Erickson had initially started the project as a gag of sorts by photoshopping the front page of Reddit set 1,000 years into the future.

However it seems that Redditors wanted more than just an image. According to Erikson, “The one comment that always stuck with me was users saying ‘I wish I could click those links!,’” which was how Reddit 3016 was born. It’s a pretty fun website and pretty hilarious too, what with the ads on the side of the page showing off Star Wars XXI, as well as promoting aliens and whatnot.

If you’d like to check it out, then point your browser towards the Reddit 3016 website.
