Purchase Xbox 360 Games On Xbox One With Next Update

Microsoft today detailed the next major software update for Xbox One. The company has taken into account some of the most frequent requests and introduced a couple of new features that will soon go live for Xbox One. One of the frequently requested features includes the ability to purchase Xbox 360 backwards compatible games on the Xbox One itself.

Next month’s update is going to be rolled out starting today to members of the Xbox One Preview program, it will be released for Xbox app beta members from tomorrow. It going to take a couple of weeks before this update is released for everybody.

So far players have spent more than 30 million hours playing Xbox 360 games on the current-gen console and have frequently requested that Microsoft make it possible for them to purchase backwards compatible games on Xbox One.

With this update players will be able to purchase Xbox 360 backwards compatible games in the same manner they purchase Xbox One games. Once a title is purchased it will automatically be downloaded to the console and will be ready to play.

Xbox One Preview members will also be able to broadcast Party Chat using the Twitch app. They can invite other people to include chat audio in their broadcast. Other features related to the audio output for Party Chart, Game DVR, Achievements and more are also included in the next major update.
