It has been a few months since Google released Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Many OEMs have still not updated their flagship handsets to the new firmware let alone older devices that are eligible to receive this update. It’s a slow process and Android owners are having to wait for months to get this update. Samsung has finally started rolling out the much-awaited update for the Galaxy S5.
However, it’s a sign that now the roll out has begun, it shouldn’t take more than a couple of months before this update arrives in other markets. That’s how long it’s likely going to take to arrive for users in the United States where mobile carriers almost always tend to hold up updates and delay the release even further for end users.
Marshmallow for Galaxy S5 brings all of the bells and whistles that come as part and parcel of the new software update. New features include an improved Doze mode, better notifications experience, enhanced app permissions, overall bug and stability fixes as well as performance improvements.
