The CoWatch Is A Smartwatch Powered By Amazon’s Alexa Assistant

With all the new features being added to the Amazon Echo on a constant basis, chances are you might have heard of Alexa which is the voice assistant behind the Echo speakers. It is a pretty smart assistant and can do all sorts of things, such as ordering pizzas, reading Kindle books, and even answering basic medical questions.

Now if you like Alexa and would love to have the power of Alexa on your wrist, you might be interested in an Indiegogo project for a smartwatch called the CoWatch. This is a watch that features Amazon’s Alexa which is interesting as Amazon is obviously not involved in anyway, which has us wondering how they managed to get the feature up and running on it in the first place.

The watch is being made by Chinese company iMCO and will have its operating system provided by Cronologics, the same company behind the Blocks modular smartwatch. The design of the watch is pretty nice and features the use of stainless steel and ceramic, resulting in a rather elegant-looking timepiece.

The CoWatch will play nicely with both iOS and Android devices which should hopefully widen its appeal. It’s an interesting concept and so far it has managed to raise a little over $20,000 which is still a way off its goal of $80,000. If you’d like to learn more or pledge your support, hit up its Indiegogo page for the details.
