htc-10-lifestyle

Prior to the official announcement of the HTC 10 it was rumored that the company had also made a “Lifestyle” variant of this handset which was to be released in selected markets. Soon after the HTC 10 was announced the HTC 10 Lifestyle was listed on the company’s official website making it seem that this variant would be released in India. The company appears to have made a change on its website which suggests that the Global variant might be headed to India.

There are only a handful of differences between the Global and Lifestyle variants of this smartphone. The former is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and features 4GB RAM whereas the latter has a Snapdragon 652 processor with 3GB RAM. Everything else is more or less the same.

The company issued a statement confirming that the Global variant is going to be released in India. “We are pleased to announce that global flagship HTC 10 is coming soon to India. Stay tuned for the announcement and the availability date,” said Faisal Siddiqui, President HTC South Asia.

It didn’t specify whether this handset will have the Snapdragon 820 or the 652, even though the specifications of HTC 10 Lifestyle have been updated on the website to reflect that it also has the 820 and 4GB RAM.

This is causing a lot of confusion for prospective buyers in India who are still not sure what variant of the flagship they will be getting. It will only serve HTC’s interests to clear up this matter soon.
