A lot of work is being done to create content in virtual reality and that content includes porn as well. Some of the biggest studios have heavily invested in this technology of the future and are counting on it to boost their fortunes. It’s no secret that one can rent naughty movies to watch in hotel rooms so it was only a matter of time before VR became part of the equation. Hotels in Las Vegas will soon offer VR porn as room service.
A major porn studio has teamed up with AuraVisor, a UK-based company which crowdfunded its first VR headset last year, to offer the complete package to hotels in Las Vegas for $19.99 a pop.
Much of the VR porn content that’s being released these days has support for multiple platforms, including popular platforms like Samsung Gear VR and the Oculus Rift.
The AuraVisor is a good choice for this particular scenario as it’s untethered and doesn’t require a smartphone to function like the Gear VR. It has a self-contained 5 inch full HD display with a 100 degree field of view, and it provides access to a custom VR store. Users will be able to see their hotel room replicated in the VR headset to get that fully immersive feeling.
It has not been confirmed as yet precisely when the porn-loaded AuraVisor headsets will be available as room service and which hotels on the Strip will be offering it to their guests as room service.
