t-mobile binge on

T-Mobile today announced its fifth expansion of the Binge On program in six months after its launch. Starting today, NBC, Univision, Spotify, Qello Concerts and more are joining Binge On. What this means is that T-Mobile subscribers can stream video from these services without having it count against their data plans.

The company also confirmed today that popular music streaming services like Google Play Music, Tidal, Radio Disney and Spotify are bringing their expanding video libraries to Binge On, those services are already on Music Freedom, a T-Mobile service that lets users stream music from supported services without having to worry about it counting against their mobile data.

Magenta revealed today that since Binge On was launched in November last year, customers have streamed over 377 million hours of video without using up their mobile data and that 92 percent of the customers it surveyed said they’ll watch more video with Binge On.

New video services that have joined Binge On today include Great Big Story, NBC, Kiswe, Ligonier Ministries, NOGGIN, Qello Concerts, Univision, Univision Noticias and Toon Goggles.

The Binge On service is completely free to all T-Mobile customers. The only restriction on this service is that video is streamed at DVD quality which T-Mobile describes at 480p or better, if you want HD streams, be prepared to spend a significant chunk of your mobile data.
