namco-bandai-logoIf you’ve played games at the arcade, there’s a good chance that at least one of them was published by Bandai Namco. The company’s portfolio of games covers a variety of genres, such as the Tekken fighting series, games based around anime like Naruto and One Piece, Soulcalibur, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D, and so on.

That being said, it seems like the company has a new IP planned for Gamescom 2016 that according to them, will be aimed more towards a Western audience. Details of the alleged game have not been revealed and we expect that more details will be shared at Gamescom. Given the company’s wide variety of games, it’s really anyone’s guess as to what this new IP could be about.

According to Bandai Namco’s VP of IP Strategy Herve Hoerdt,”This year, again the world’s largest gaming fair will be home to hundreds of thousands gaming fans who gather in Cologne. We are bringing 3 very interesting projects this year. We are particularly pleased to be able to fulfill the desires of fighting game fans as they get the chance to experience the most impressive TEKKEN-game to date through near photo-realistic graphics with TEKKEN 7.”

So if you’re a fan of the publisher’s releases so far, perhaps this new IP could be worth looking forward to, so remember to check back with us during Gamescom next month for the official details.
