pac-man-championship-edition-2
Bandai Namco has announced today that Pac-Man Championship Edition 2, the sequel to the popular Pac-Man Championship Edition that was released back in 2007, is going to be released later this year. The game is going to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. San Diego Comic-Con attendees will be able to go hands-on with the game at booth #129 in Hall A of the San Diego Convention Center.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is currently under development at Bandai Namco studios in Tokyo, Japan. The studio promises “eye-popping 3D mazes” with unique visual elements, a variety of dynamic mazes, the ability to bump ghosts as well as “intense giant sized ghost boss battles.”

The new title builds upon its predecessor’s “Chain Eating” mechanics by allowing players to build up to four ghost trains before chowing down to gain maximum chompage points. Fan favorite Score Attack mode is also back, players will be required to gather as many points as they can within a specified time.

A new Adventure Mode has been added to the game which will see players chasing fast moving fruit, battling big bosses and experience new ways of playing Pac-Man.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is going to be released in the Americas for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year in September.
